¡Soy Pat!

My approach to therapy is integrative and holistic, grounded in evidence-based practice and drawing from psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, and ACT approaches, alongside an understanding of the physiological factors that shape emotional experience, including stress, sleep, and the nervous system. I see therapy as both a science and an art: the mind and body are interconnected, and I use this perspective to explore how your experiences have shaped the way you understand yourself and the world around you. From there, we develop an individualized approach that supports the changes you want to make, whether in your personal life, relationships, or broader life goals.

I work with adolescents, young people, and adults, including athletes and performers, supporting challenges related to identity, belonging, self-worth, and meaning. Through both my work and personal experience, I've come to appreciate that people experience and express emotion in many different ways - through conversation, different languages, movement, art, music, and more. Rather than assuming one way of working will suit everyone, I aim to adapt to whichever feels most natural and meaningful for you.

I believe lasting change comes from understanding how your past, present, and hopes for the future come together in your current experience. Together, we'll explore how cultural, relational, and personal experiences have shaped the way you move through the world, while also considering where you'd like to go next. In a world that often feels uncertain, my hope is to help you develop a stronger sense of direction and meaning, whether that's feeling more grounded in yourself, approaching relationships differently, or defining success on your own terms. Above all, I strive to create a collaborative, culturally responsive space where you feel genuinely heard and actively involved in the therapeutic process, because meaningful change is most sustainable when it comes from within rather than being imposed from the outside.

Mi Historia

Growing up between Thailand, the UK, Nashville, and New York gave me a lived understanding of what it means to navigate different cultures, expectations, and ways of seeing the world. It also meant learning to translate between different versions of myself depending on where I was and who I was with. Those experiences continue to shape how I think about identity, belonging, family, and culture in my clinical work.

I completed my Bachelor's degree at Vanderbilt University, where my research focused on evidence-based interventions and individualized care. This involved developing psychoeducational and applied interventions tailored to people's individual needs, an experience that continues to inform how I create practical treatment plans that reflect each person's goals, lifestyle, and way of thinking. Alongside my academic work, I spent ten years in high-performance sport as a competitive rower and coxswain. That experience taught me that effective support depends on understanding the person in front of you - there is rarely one right way to communicate or help, only the approach that best fits the individual.

I am currently completing my Master's in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at NYU. Outside of counseling, I enjoy being on the water, traveling, and exploring antique shops. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
